At 16 years of age, Gustavo Ayala-Guevara received a recognition from the Student Federation of Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, for delivering a portrait of Minister of Yugoslavia, Joshep Bros Tito in 1962.
MCALLEN – A Rio Grande Valley artist with autism discovered his gift after his mother signed him up for art classes.
Now, his artwork has been on exhibit in New York and sells for thousands of dollars.
Anthony Rivera developed his own style; not using brushes, but only his hands.
Music is also a major component to his art.
McAllen business partners, Thelma and Pedro with their new venue, offered Anthony to exhibit his work so he could raise money to fix his A/C at the Beat the Heat market. Just one way the owners support local artists.
